If you’re up at the crack of dawn on Sunday market morning in Melbourne’s Camberwell, it’s hard to miss Lynda Gardener among the keen multitude seeking treasure. In a fur-trimmed, salmon pink tweed vintage jacket, her top mop of ebony curls fixed a coloured ribbon or flower, she could have stepped straight out of a glamorous 1950’s magazine. Oblivious to others, she focuses on finding that special thing. For Gardener, collecting is life’s passion.
