Spruce up a simple grocery bag
What's needed: -Fabric bag -fabric scraps -Vliesofix -iron
-trick marker
-sewing machine
-sewing thread different colors -embroidery needle
-embroidery thread curry yellow
Cut or tear different shapes from the fabric scraps. Who would like, misses the pieces first. If you want to have the fringe look leave one side torn.
For the orange on the branch Vliesofix on the back of the pink fabric iron, trace and cut out a circle shape 7.5cmø, peel off the backing paper, iron on a different color piece of fabric. Draw leaves and branch freehand with trick marker, then sew lines with sewing machine.
Embroider small dots in running stitch with curry colored embroidery floss.
Iron Vliesofix onto the backs of the remaining fabric pieces, peel off backing paper, then place on bag and iron in place. Using narrow zigzag stitch with short stitch length, sew around fabric pieces, alternating thread colors.
Using embroidery floss, embroider several small strips next to each other, which run over a patch on the bag. Or make your own patterns and simply embroider on them.
Additional hold also gives "Fransenstopp" (eg from Prym company) the liquid is applied to the frayed edges, this prevents further fraying.
